Artfest is Texas A&M University's annual student art contest sponsored by the MSC Visual Arts Committee. Participants may enter a maximum of three selections in six different categories including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media and computer-generated still images.

| We All Bleed the Same Blood by Lynne Gulezian

MSC Visual Arts Committee is bringing the work of artist Lynne Gulezian to the MSC J. Wayne Stark Galleries. In her work Gulezian focuses on the lives of people that she met while living in South Africa. The brightly colored, mixed media works contain many imaginative subjects.

The MSC Visual Arts Committee presents an exhibit of photographs by Tom Huckabee to be featured in the MSC J. Wayne Stark Galleries. The beautiful photographs of Mr. Huckabee provide an different view of nature by photographing every item under water. This unique process creates stunning views of many of the everyday, and some of the extraordinary items of nature.

| Earth Texts by Kristy Deetz

MSC Visual Arts Committee is bringing the work of artist Kristy Deetz to the MSC J. Wayne Stark Galleries. In her exhibit "Earth Texts," Deetz combines sculpture with literary devices to create tangible reflections of concepts such as touchstones or table of contents. Each piece is a wood carving incorporated with organic materials including beeswax and hair.

MSC Visual Arts Committee is bringing the art of Shirley Crow to the campus of Texas A&M. Shirley Crow is a painter that focuses on the miracle of human life amidst the pain and beauty of a constantly shifting reality. Her artwork combines emotion with technical and conceptual ideas to create what Crow calls "chunks of the universe."
